How much does a lawyer cost in Luxembourg?
A lawyer’s fees in Luxembourg are not regulated but must be transparent. They depend on the nature and complexity of the matter. A consultation starts at 175 € HT, 204,75 € TTC (30 min), and many services with a defined scope are subject to a flat fee announced in advance.
Can I obtain a free quote?
Yes. After an initial analysis of your request, the firm prepares a personalised quote, generally within 48 hours, with no commitment on your part.
Do you work on a flat fee?
Yes, when the scope of the matter is clearly defined (contract, articles of association, formal notice, company formation). For evolving matters, billing is based on time spent, with an estimate communicated from the outset.
Do you bill on a contingency basis?
The quota litis agreement (fees set solely according to the outcome) is prohibited. A complementary success fee remains possible in certain matters, in strict compliance with the applicable professional rules.
Is the consultation deductible from a later engagement?
Depending on the matter, the cost of the consultation may be deducted from the fees of a service subsequently entrusted to the firm. This point is clarified during the appointment.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. Any disbursements (bailiff, registry, notary, translations) are separate from the fees and are indicated to you separately. No matter is undertaken without your approval.
